Still pampering the G?

Just curious - my family is surprised I'm still handwashing the G so often after a year-and-a-half (~1 / wk), which means I must still like the car It just got its bath using Zaino wash and Z8 (actually did the seats today too, they needed some conditioner).

You?

Thumbs up

Hell yeah!!!
About once a week hand wash only.
Black Obsidian collects dust that gets on my nerves.

This G will not see the inside of a car wash facility.

I take it to a car wash that hand washes the car. I have no time to wash the car myself. I plan to clean the seats myself at least once per month ot 2 months, I have only had the car for a month now.

Nothing but hand washes... But its tough in the Winter months.
Spring, Summer & Fall, I wash maybe twice a week.
Weekends are for Zaino and waxing the wheels.
Spring & Fall, she gets the works, starting with clay and building the layers back up.

Yeah, the wife thinks I'm nuts.

I'll handwash it about once a month, otherwise we've got a great "touchless" wash nearby and I'll just get the cheapo wash and whiz right by the auto dryer and haul a$$ home so I can hand dry & buff w/ my micro-fiber towels, comes out great. I also spray wax it about every 6-8 weeks

I would like to hand wash the car every week but I live in an apartment so it's very hard.

I wash when I can and it usually averages out to be 1.5 times a week. Autumn and winter was definitely hard. I've seen only two or three Gs that were well kept as I passed by them on the road, and it really makes a difference. Makes the head turns :biggthumpup. In addition I also maintain my interior very well, my friends always compliment how I keep the inside so clean (thank you 303!).

most g owners i see on the road keep their car clean.
i like that.
it helps keep the model image up.
it shows that owners care for their investment.

nothing worse than seeing a bunch of dirty unkept G's on a bright sunny day.
no excuse.

I prefer washing my car myself, but will break down and go to a car wash in the winter months if it's way too cold to wash myself and it's really dirty. I always finish it myself once I get home though, put the finishing touches on it.

My obsession has only grown. I've always washed my cars once a week by hand. But the G gets at least one hand wash weekly(most of the time two), typically daily dustings, QD every other day, and wax about once a month.

Not to mention...I've dropped probably 1K on detailing supplies this year to keep it clean...

You are not alone G35now!

Man, this is killing me. With the dry conditions in the southeast I haven't been able to hand wash my car since last August and it shows . I'm hoping that they ease restrictions around here soon (looks like they will) and then it's time to get my baby all shiny again. In the meantime I think I've mastered interior detailing... No sense letting the interior get all dirty just because I can't wash the outside....

It sucks when your car is parked outside with no cover and it rains off and on. Oh and the best part is the carport to wash our cars is in the basement, which my car can't go down or back up because the driveway is too steep and i get stuck at the top.
