Throttle Lag? 6MT
I had the same throttle lag problem until I had my throttle PEDAL position sensor replaced. It had an error code of P2135 which is usually the throttle body/throttle position sensor, but they replace the throttle pedal position sensor (drive by wire?) and it fixed it - complete lever assembly - # 18002-am81d - $147.98 is what mine cost (but under warranty). 2004 G35X
Much better throttle response now.

or the Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning?
or even the Throttle Position Learning?
Apparently, these things can be re-calibrated if anything screws up and or any work/modifications has been done dealing with these areas.
procedures for calibration is on the last page...

I'm giving the accelerator pedal released position a try since i have lag myself.
Have that same lag issue with 5at HR
Do you have the turbo whistlers installed on your mufflers by any chance? It's probably just the turbo lag.
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.
In all seriousness, I have the lag, and it's coming from my HFC. When I am cruising around in a lower speed (30~40MPH) and decide to go WOT, my car hesitates for about half a second. I am not sure if it is the same symptom, but it seems like a similar problem? BTW, I have a 5AT.
