I read post 18, makes sense. I have not looked up the track numbers yet but my theory is that the V8's tourque will likely work in the 550i's favor. This is the theory, but I am still rooting for the G, I guess I am biased.

My $ is on 550, auto or stick. The only Nissan that can beat 550 is 300ZX TT or the new GT-R.

I'd ALMOST agree with this statement, surprisingly such a broad statement....is actually true in my eyes (thats IF were talking stock to stock vehicles) , but..... I believe an 07+....VQ35HR....6MT....350Z.... would put atleast 1-2 car lengths on a 550i with a good driver.

PS: The next gen 370Z, would romp it harder.

Better driver wins the race...

I think it will be very close, and it will be all about the driver checkout the following link, these are real timslips and a G35S pulled a 13.5 (he also has a video on youtube check it out!) while a 550i put 13.7
On the other hand a G35S 6MT got 13.9 and 550i got 14.04sec in 1/4 mile.

So i think they are equally good cars, and the better driver shall take the race.

Timeslips 07 G35 vs. 07 550i

There's a problem though. For the same price as a loaded Hyundai coupe, you could get a G35.

Why get a Hyundai coupe, when you could get a Civic coupe?

Ur not going to hit 13s in california speedway especially if this is ur first time dragging the car, therefore u don't need a helmet.

This is the kind of question for people driving 328i, IS250s, A4s C350s. The IS350, 335i & the G hold their own against the Hyundai and Kia coupe's. There are just as fast if not faster and are luxury cars. Hyundai & Kia may be well appointed but there are people out there with class and a desire for refinement and Hyundai & Kia is not for them.
