Red face Buying new rims (18inches) TSW - what you think of these?

Hi Guys, I own the 2007 G35 Journey..Platinum graphite... I used the stock 17" rims on my winter tires... and i'm thinking of purchasing a set of new rims and tires for the summer.... I'm loooking at these ones right here from TSW... 18 inches.

http://wheelstudio.com/catalog/produ...230f7a7deb44e4

The tire size would be: 245 / 18 / 45

I got a great deal on them ... we're talking 1400$ USD ... RIMS/TIRES/INSTALLED.

What you guys think? you think they will fit well? I loved the fact that the gun metal color fits well the car color.... but I need some more comments... :-)

Those are some nice looking wheels. I like the color, but there is a little too much lip for my taste. That is a killer price too. I say go for it and be sure to post pictures.

Cool

Not a bad price for these at all. I suggest you go for it. It will definitely make your car looks sick!

they look...

great! Would any kind of spacers or alignment be needed, or just order them and just put them on the car?

IMHO, save more and get something nicer than TSW's.

I agree with going to 19s. Another thing you may want to consider is wheel weight. In my experience TSWs are often significantly hevier then stock. That may or may not matter to you depending on your driving habits/needs. Overall I really like the style. Good luck.

I like the style, but why not go for 19"? Not sure if you will need to lower or change the springs with 19" though. I have the stock 18" on my G35S, and I am thinking about going 19".

hi guys,
thanks for the feedback...

I would love to go with the 19's, but the price difference is a bit much for me... the 18's that i'm considering are 1400$ ... including tires (245/45/18), the spacers, and all the installation....

the 19 would run around 900$ more, the tires are much more expensive apparently.....

So do I do it? Or just buy the 17" summer tires on stock mags for 750$... half the price....

Im planning on making the decision today, so what you say?

Nothing wrong with the 18s if that's your budget.
Just don't 2nd guess afterwards.
JMO, but if you really want the 19s then wait & save a little more.

To me, my G35S' stock 18" look weird. My front tires look kind of stubby. Probably because the front tires are 50 profile. 17" are definitely too small for a car like the G, in my opinion.

So go with the 18". I think your 18" will look nicer than mine, given that you will have 45 profile on both front and rear tires.

I got 18s on mine they look good... Its a lil bit faster than 19s and 20s, but if i was to upgrade i would go with 19s i think 20s are too big.. I got 275 on the back i love it.. wider than **** and I think front is 245..
