Never gotten a ticket for it though, and had about 10 in the past cars I've owned.

Yeah, I've been pulled over 3-4 times; 4th got a $60 ticket. Oh-well.

Found a solution, just used some zipties. Pretty much just screwed the license to the frame, and ziptied the frame to the grill mesh. Should stay on there. Put some masking tape underneath, don't expect it to stay, but its still there.
