Having problems with my push button start...help

Can someone please tell me if they know what might be wrong with my 07G35x? In the past weeks on two separate occasions, I would push the button to turn the car on and nothing happens. The lights/radio won't even come on even with brake pedal depressed. It felt like the car had no battery power. I would wait a few minutes, push the button a few times, plug the fob into slot and the car will not turn on. It comes with a feeling of being left stranded with a dead car.

Then all of a sudden the car would come back to life like nothing ever happened except that my odometer, car seat memory, and other comfort features would be reset to zero or default. It felt like the car's battery was disconnected and then reconnected. The car runs fine now and I can't recreate this problem...it just happens.

My dealership told me that my battery is dead, after only 13,000 miles? I doubted that statement so I had the battery tested at a local Pep Boys and they said my battery is fine. Now I'm concerned and a little disappointed with my Infiniti dealership...I'm taking it over to them again tomorrow.

Anybody with ideas and comments would be greatly appreciated!

Try sticking your i-key in its port and if it works fine then its your i-key battery.

I did plug the key fob in its port and nothing happened. I do not think it's the key fob issue because both seat memories gets deleted, other interior comfort features (i.e. tilt steering column on exit...) gets reset to default along with my trip odometers being reset back to 0.

Then you're definitiely losing the battery, either from it dying or a loose connection and the other poster said, or maybe the terminals need to be cleaned. Did you actually take it to the dealer or did they try to diagnose it over the phone? Seems to me if it is the battery, its either a bad battery or something is causing a drain. They should be able to find the cause.

Anyone know if the battery is covered under warranty?

thanks guys. I thought it was the battery too. That's why I checked the connection first and then brought it to a local Pep Boys shop and paid a tech to use their meters to check on the life of my battery. Everything was fine, from the connections to the battery itself.

I hope it's not something more serious.

The terminals don't need to be cleaned

A: The vehicle is brand new
B: The battery is in a sealed compartment

What you need to do is do a load test on your battery.
