Just spent the day doing some autocrossing...

Thats pretty fun stuff.... It was my first time, but I think I did pretty well. I went with a buddy of mine who has an Audi TT and who has been doing it for a while, My fastest lap was about 0.50 seconds behind his. I was happy with it, it was a lot of fun trying to push the car. I think he got some pics, so I will post them up if I get em.

Anyone else autocrossed their G??

I did my first autocross a month or so ago in my hopefully SOON to be ex-BMW 528i. It was ridiculously fun, even in an underpowered behemoth like the bemer How did the G perform? Lots of understeer, good braking, etc?

I did an Autocross "Skool" here in Houston, so we did things like skidpad, braking, slalom, and bean exercises - all with an instructor giving us tips riding along.

Hopefully I'll be picking up my G later this week, then possibly going out to the next autocross event here in Houston on June 1st. BUTTT, I think i'm going to wait until after the first (3750 mile) service before I go pushing it there.

I did a PCA driving shool two weeks ago, great fun, best way to learn about your car capabilities.

I was very impressed with the G's dynamics. Fast car, great brakes, auto tranny rocks...

Yep, Puerto Rico's PCA chapter is small, so they have open spots for their driving schools for non club members. I have a good friend who is an instructor and he hooked me up...
