Yeah. I know.

A friend of mine just traded in her A4 for a Prius. She is getting mileage that is double what mine is.

we do pay the cheapest in the world and the higher the gas prices the more economical it is to drill here in the U.S. and therefore the more oil we have nationally. As a petroleum engineer these high prices are great.

I thought it was bad over here. Texaco 93 cost me $3.69/gallon this morning. Total tank fillup was $63.02 (topped off to overfilling). I filled up about 1 mile after the low fuel indicator turned on.

I drive 70 miles per day round trip to get to work so gas prices are starting to hurt (and probably about the same per day on weekends). I average around 24.5 mpg on premium in the G35. I get 20.5 on regular in my Acura MDX. I switch my 70 mile trip between those two cars. I'm spending $400-500 a month on gas, that's like a freaking car payment.

There are stations in the Bay Area that has charges over $4.50 for 89 premium.

The most expensive station is also in the Bay Area. It's over $5!! It's in some remote location, and that's the only station around.

Despite having paid $4.28/gallon on Monday, I haven't gone over $70 yet (I fill up about ~16 gallons each time).

im not the type of person to blame everyone with power for all the stuff thats messed up around here. BUT! he is undoubtedly "connected" to big oil lobbyist. so therefore he is gonna have his home states back when it comes to how much they get raped! or it could just be the closer you are to oil the cheaper it is.

What is crazy is, summer hasn't even started yet. Traditionally gas prices rise in the summer. Could we see $4.50 or even $5.00 a gallon before year end?
Man.. I just filled up in Irvine too at the SHELL on Barranca and Paseo Westpark.. can't remember the exact price but I think I paid around $4.20 / gal. I live in Irvine and the gas prices here is usually around 20 cents higher than other cities.. so I try to avoid filling up here.. only put in 20 bucks today.. it sucks because I don't think the gas prices will ever fall below 3 bucks again.. when I first started driving in HS, gas was $1.02 / gal. Filled up my Honda Civic full w/ 10 bucks.. man I miss the good ol days *sigh*

Costco wouldn't do that.. i pump there all the time.. $3.48 FTMFW..
Gasoline at Costco is just as good as anywhere else.

Gasoline is gasoline, whether it is from Costco or Shell.

I fill up at Costco almost exclusively.

My guess would more the latter than the former

Not accurate - each brand typically puts in different additives. Places like Costco, that don't actually show a brand of gas, can use anything they want

I hate these crazy prices! Thankfully my parents tell me when the gas price is going either up or down so I know when to fill at the best time...just trying to save as much money as I can
