2007 G35x

Hello everyone. Im possibly going to be purchasing a 07G35 Sedan soon and had a few questions. Ive been reading this site for a few days and just had a few questions about something I didnt read in faq.

1. What does the S give you ? All I really noticed was the front chin was different and it seems the S gets the spoiler. Im only speaking in terms of appearance.

2. Not that I would ever take my G35 to the 1/4 mile track but what do they run stock? (sedan)

3. Im 27 and married with just a few speeding tickets since I was 16 so what on average does everyone pay for a years insurance. Specifically someone my near my age can chime in. thanks. Im in Chicago so im sure that doesnt help.

4. Im specifically looking at a black on black 07G35 with 30K on the clock. They are asking 25,700. Whats a reasonable starting offer?

thanks guys/gals

The Sport model will give you the following things over the X.

* Sport seats (the seats have white stitching and offer power adjustable side bolsters with a manual thigh extension)
* Paddle shifters
* Aluminum pedals
* VSLD
* Larger brakes
* Larger wheels (18")
* Side sills
* Different front fascia
* Available in a 6MT
* Sport tuned suspension
* Rear spoiler (at least in Canada)
* Leather wrapped steering wheel with white stitching

That's all I can think of.

I am not so sure Wayne. He is inquiring about an 07 and there was no G35xS in 07, so I understood his question to be what the 07 Sport offers over the 07 X.

So there is no G35XS in 07? They just offered a sport package in 07 which is equivalent to the 08G35XS? Thanks for the info

So you were asking about the G35XS. I kind of thought so but as Shane said it wasn't available in 07 only 08, and those options Shane listed are for the RWD Sport not the X Sport. Your question was baffling us since we did not know exactly what models you were asking about.

If you are considering the 07, they are great, I love mine

The big thing to remember is that the 07 sport package was not available in AWD, hence no "x". You could get a g35x or a g35 sport, but not both.

Correct. Like others have said, their was no G35xS available for the 07 MY. You either got the G35S or the G35X. The features that I listed previously were unique things that came only on the G35S for 07. If you are looking to get an X model with Sport features you will need to opt for an 08+ model. Hopefully that clears things up.

The 2008 G35xS does NOT include the limited slip differential.

Does the sport package include different suspension tuning? I've heard different opinions, but I think the brochure seems to indicate the only difference is brake and wheel size, not suspension calibration.

For the 07 MY, yes the G35S has a sport tuned suspension whereas the Journey and X do not.
