Mike
Before My purchase,I was concerned that the sport suspension would be too stiff for a daily driver, because the roads around here are terrible.I read all the factory listed specs on the cars. I assumed that the sport 5at would have the standard journey suspension, because it did not list it in the specs as it did on the sport 6mt.I liked all the other options that came with sport 5at,so I bought it.
It was a little stiff on the street, but not uncomfortable.3 days later, we went for a ride down the fwy,and I was dissapointed at how bumpy it was.For comparison,I drove a standard journey,(comfortable) and a sport 6mt(same ride as My sport 5at)
Then I bought some factory takeoffs 17x7.5 with 225/55/17 as daily drivers.
It softened the ride very slightly. It still rides stiffer than the standard journey.
Mike....You are a heck of a nice Guy, And You were very honest and helpful when We spoke on the phone.Somethings We dont associate too often with car sales people.I would have bought from You if I lived closer.I dont mean to argue with You,in fact ,I WISH YOU WERE RIGHT.And if I am wrong ,I owe You many appologies.I am just relating My observations here.

I may have just found some info on the suspension topic.
I have a 9"x12" brochure,about 25 pages.
2nd page from the back lists "Models and option packages".Lists all models inc.sport 6mt,sport,& sport awd.
Under "sport" it states "includes all sport 6mt standard equipment, excluding 6 speed manual transmission".Also mentions the addition of paddle shifters and foot operated parking brake. Sorry, I dont mean to

I got my 07 g35S (black on black) with the premium pkg, i opted to net get nav because of the tech pkg - a bunch of stuff I didn't need. The sport and premium pkg was what I was there for and I LOVE IT. the sport seats, brakes, rims etc all wonderful and SOOOO worth it - I did put sport springs on it for appeal and a little stiffer ride - I say get the sport or you will always wonder what you are missing

I have to back up gypsy. When I bought my 08, I test drove a 6MT sport, 2 Journey sport pkg ATs, and 2 journey non-sport ATs. THe sport ATs suspension felt exactly the same as the 6MT's suspension and noticeably softer than the non-sport Journeys, which both had the 18" wheel/tire pkg.
I was really surprised by how stiff the sport AT and 6MT suspension was. It felt noticeably firmer than the suspension on my 300ZX TT in firm mode.

Wow! Thank you everyone for you great input! I will let you all know what I pick up. For now, I need to sell my 06 coupe. Once that is done, I am golden!
Thanks Again!

After owning the G35 for 8 months i have to say the suspension is too bumpy and rough. The roads here are bad. Something to consider...

Thanks for your input. I totally know what you are taking about. I drive to LA quite a bit and there are potholes a plenty. I think the Journey or sport would be softer then my Coupe dropped on NF210's.Originally Posted by oughttoreturn

Check your tire pressure. I noticed a night and day difference in ride comfort comparing 38 psi to 30 psi.
At 30 psi, it rides great with the 18" sport wheels.
