08 G35 Sedan - Garnet Ember or Platinum Graphite??

I know this is an incredibly subjective question, but was curious to hear what your opinion is on the "better looking" color for the G35 Sedan between Garnet Ember or Platinum Graphite. I currently have a black 06 sedan (lease) that I am turning in in a couple of weeks. Gonna buy a 08 sedan and can't decide on which color I like better. The Garnet Ember looks really great - love that color red (had an 03 coupe in that color). Just not sure if it is "appropriate" for a sedan though - or at least that's what my wife says. My other option is Platinum Graphite, but it just doesn't excite me like the Garnet Ember.

Thoughts?

P.S. I have only seen one G35 sedan in Garnet Ember on the road and I almost broke my neck looking at it. As you can see I am leaning towards the Garnet Ember...

haha its not even close, garnet ember is the nicer color. and clearly you want garnet ember. it really is a beautiful color, i've gotten various comments along the lines of, 'wow, i've seen a lot of red cars, but this is a BEAUTIFUL red.'

I have searched a 250 mile radius from ATL to find a Garnet Ember Journey with Premium, Nav, and Sport packages - NONE to be found!! They must make one Garnet Ember for every 1,000 Liquid Platinum/Platinum Graphite!!

I am pretty conservative when it comes to this kind of stuff. I think the GE is too flashy for this car. I like the understated sportiness of the sedan body and think that GE ruins it. I am torn between blue slate and liquid platinum myself.

But, it does sound like you really like it so go for it!

lol thats the EXACT used car i HAD to have. i live in new jersey, and back in feb./march, i was looking around the whole nation for that car. after about a month and a half of looking, i found 1 in virginia, and 1 in chicago. the one in chicago sold, so i ended up driving 4 hours down to virginia with my brother and girlfriend to pick up the one in virginia, which also had the rear spoiler, and i couldn't be happier. man, when i first laid my eyes on my garnet ember princess which i named Scarlett, my knees buckled

I love my Plat Graph, and was TORN between it and the Black Obsidian. I wanted the PG at first, and that is the one I ended up with.

I couldnt be happier with my decision. The PG hides dirt incredibly well.

BUT.....You wont be truly happy if you feel like you "settled", b/c wifey said so, or b/c it was a real pain in the a$$ to find the Garnet, etc....

Go with the Garnet, and best of luck.

I disagree and think that it's a common myth amongst red cars. I've had my GE sedan for 1.5 years without any issues. Three out of my last four cars have been red and I've only received one ticket which was completely my fault. It's the driver that gets tickets, not the car.

OP, both are fantastic colors.....but if GE is the one you truly want than make sure that's the on you get. You are spending too much money to settle for a color that is your second choice. I must admit though, GE is a fantastic color. It's like it has dual personalities since it looks completely different in the sunlight as it does in lower light. I love it.
