Well, the next step up is the FX50....so will we see a G50 in 09!?

Of course this is all just purely me being silly, but how sweet would that be? At least until you had to gas it up

...I know that. You know the G37 was tuned to 316 horsepower in order to make it as fast as the sedan, right?

I did not know the 2.5 is still a 6 cyl. That is an even bigger reason to bring it out... killer car, will kill the is250, since from what i read, it will finally match the MPG...

I think i am having a fit on MPG, i am like a woman with PMS, one minute i am all about the MPG, the next, the thrill of the car..

I AM SCREWED ....

nothing in the US, the skyline/G35 has it in japan though.

if anything they should at least put the 7 speed autos in for 09.

Lots.

The JDM Fuga (US Market M) was available with a 2.5L VQ25DE in the base 250 models before the motor was replaced with the VQ25HR this year (the V6 model '08 Fugas unlike the US Market '08 Ms received the HR motors this year). The V35 Skyline Sedan (US Market G Sedan) was available with a Direct Injection version of this motor dubbed VQ25DD. The current V36 Sedan is available with the same VQ25HR that's available in the base model 250 Fugas. The M35 Stagea Wagon which was based on the V35 Skyline Sedan was available with a range topping 2.5L VQ25DET Turbo V6. There are a bunch of other JDM Nissans available with VQ motors with less than the current 3.5L, 3.7L and 4.0L of displacement they're available with in the US. There was also a VQ20 and a VQ23 as well.

we only get the 3.5 g35 because we are americans....we can afford the gas for the motor...other countries who are paying more for gas and have stricter driving/emissions laws get the small motors Makes sense...its not a case of lets only give the US market this motor and the rest of the world gets more options...its all in the politics.

Are you talking G37 coupe? Because I'm pretty sure it's rated at 330, but because of its increased weight the performance difference over the G35 Sedan is minimal

Lots of specualtion so far. It would be nice to see the extra HP and displacement go into the sedan. I read that the new Z (be it an '09 or '10) will have the VQ37HR and it will likely have 350HP...plus it will weigh about 200 punds less than the current Z. I wish infiniti would drop some weight from these cars while adding substantial HP......novel idea huh?

not likely, z will always be more performance minded, infiniti will always be luxury hence the added doodads and weight
