Apparently this all from the US MY09 ordering guide that was just released. VQ37 engine, 7 spd auto, scratch shield paint, bigger brakes...I'm now very happy that I waited and did not pull the trigger on the '08.

I'm slightly skeptical until we see a real posting of the guide... The freshalloy post refered to a PDF, but the person did not post a link to it. That would make me a complete believer.
(Although I really think Infiniti has to do this to revamp sluggish sales, and of course any fuel efficiency improvements would be valuable)

So for someone like me who will be in the market in late June and July, I don't see it worth the wait.
Even at my anticipated mileage, 25k a year, a boost of 2 mpg would mean about 80 less gallons a year. At $4 per gallon, that equals $320 a year. Take that over the six years I plan on having the car and it's $1920 savings.
I would expect the G37 to be more than $1900 more expensive than the current deals on the G35 until next spring what with the initial boost in demand that will probably accompany it.
Besides the few minimal extra changes, am I missing something? Especially for someone like me who does not need to have the latest and greatest.

The next batch or orders will be taken on the 2nd... that's when I'll have solid details if any.

I want this car bad. Cant wait for my 2 yr lease to end, good thing I went with a short lease. I know they allow you to terminate the lease up to 3 months in advance if you are getting another Infiniti, any chance they can make it 6 months
. In any case, by the end of nxt yr I will have the G37. They have what I thought I was missing, the park sensors, the headlight cleaners, the 7 speed, the xtra 20+ HP, the new paint and hopefully they bring the revised interior finish from the EX35. 335i what?????
To those taking ownership keep us posted, am sure you are going to f'ng luv it

whether this is true or not
if it does come to the us market speced out like that, they are gonna have to raise the price thousands, in this economy, with the us dollar tanking, theres no way they can keep the price anywhere close to what it is now
especially with the engine, trans, paint, interior, and brake upgrades, unless nissan plans to lose money with every g sedan sale
