G35 Sedan Rear Bumper

I've got a little crunch on one side of mine. Have some questions?

- Where can I get a replacement? Prefer to order online, if possible.

- How difficult is this to replace & has anyone done it?

- Are there instructions somewhere on how to replace it?

- Does it make more sense just to have a body shop do it?

Thanks.

Riverside? Don't know how much shipping would be - cost to replace mine was about $1,100 painted too.

I was afraid of that. Think I'll check with my trusted body shop and get a quote.

That is unless someone can answer the first three questions.

yeah sounds about right, its the painting that kills you. The bumper should cost less than 300 from a cheap online store like riverside check their online website.. but then you have the shipping and painting to contend with, and install time they charge. If you can get someone to paint it good for $300 to 400 and you live near a dealer with good parts rates like riverside then you can get it done 600-700 if you do it yourself.

About 700 for a infiniti bumper painted and installed at a reputable body shop. I should know, I replaced mine twice. The second time, they did a great job.

any reason that Infiniti doesn't sell pre-painted body panels? when I had my civic, we could buy the bumper pre-painted in a factory color from Honda.

My mom borrowed my car this morning and some old lady hit her coming out of a spot (my mom was parked)..now I got some scratches and a little paint missing. Small enough to touch up, but I've never seen touch up come out well...it's always mad obvious. So I'm trying to figure out what to do. I don't know if I'll be able to milk her for $1100 for minor damage...

Often paint fades so the body shop's job is to match it. The paint job on most people's cars looks much different a few years later than it did rolling off of the show room floor.
