Changing Interior Lighting(door Lights)

How would I go about doing this?...My uncle has an X5 and changed the door lighting to xenon lights(as the white light they have shining on the gear shifter) , I was wondering if it is possible to change in my G35, if so how can i do it...

Thanks

Yeah, cheap and easy mod. I bought my LEDs off of ebay, a 10 pack for $30.
I did the doors, map lights, rear license plate, trunk interior.. all of em.
Nice clean look, compared to the factory yellowish weak lighting.

Am I misunderstanding the OP's question? It sounds to me like he wants to install interior Xenon lights not LEDs.

But he also says, "like the lights shining down on the shifter" which are LEDs.
I think he's saying "Xenon" to describe the super bright white lights, and not the actual construction of the bulb.

Imagine having Xenon lights throughout the cabin?!?
You'd need welder's goggles just to get in the car!

I thought xenons might make the cabin a little warm. lol
But I still don't see where he refers to headlights anywhere in his question. He says his uncle put Xenons in the door lights.
Sorry, but I'm confused. Maybe it's to early in the morning for me to be reading on the forum. I havn't finished my coffee yet. haha.

LOL
When you open the front doors, there is a little light down on the bottom edge.
Those are door lights.

But!....

I think he's referring to the lights that come on when the doors are opened, as in Dome lights.
I think he'll need the 194's (wedge type) super white LEDs.
10 of them will give him the ability to do the map lights throughout the cabin as well as the door lights. He'll also have enough left over for the license plate in the rear and the trunk as well.
That's what I did... $30 very well spent!

These are the exact same ones i bought couple months ago and I am so pleased with the outcome. The same seller also sells different colors so thats up to you but i stuck with the 5-LED because everyone seemed to be happy with the results with theirs.

Did the white ones you get have a blue tint to it? or does it just look really white in your car?
