Protecting paint

I just bought a pre-owned 2007 black G35X. I love it and want to look after it as well as I can. I previously owned a 2005 Maxima which had molded mudguards from the factory as standard equipment. Does Infiniti a mudguard that is fairly discrete looking yet effective at protecting the paint from stones kicking up etc.? Thanks for replying.

Yes, splashguards are offered on your G35X and definitely do help protecting the paint. IMO, they look very good as well and I would personally recommend them. Contact Mike@Riverside above and order them from him and he'll treat you well.

Just park away from everybody else. I do not think molding would look good on this car.

-1 for door moldings.

The mudguards are nice and help some. I've noticed that I still get streaks of mud flung from the tires on the car. No, I'm not rally racing, but I do have to drive through two construction areas.

I had the same question about the mud guards which look in photos too skimpy to protect the paint. I was assured, as you are being assured here, that they do work. And they have done the job well. I live in a high road construction area in NYC and have no damage from stones or tar-greased gravel. Some light streaking from mud is all I've experienced.

And yes they look good, too.
