i wonder if it comes out with the 7spd auto, would we be able to swap it in our G35 sedans? I wouldn't mind giving it a shot

The question isn't is it possible...the question is how much $$$ will it cost to make it work....

I'd guess it would be a very difficult and expensive switch. It's not liking swapping a tranny on a 60's muscle car or something. If you just slap the 7spd in an 07-08 G the ECU isn't going to have a clue what to do with it.

But hey maybe, I'm wrong and it would only cost the parts, labor, and an ECU reflash or something.

i understand it would be pricey, but basically if you can find a transmission and a tranny computer, wouldn't it be all you need?

Probably.

But, it'd likely be cheaper to trade your car in on a new one though, so I wouldn't see the point. The only scenario I'd consider it would be if my tranny blew up, and I was past my warranty.
