Ride quality with G37 19" Coupe wheels/tires
Ride quality with G37 19" Coupe wheels/tires
For those with OEM G37 Coupe wheels/tires. How's the ride quality? Is it that much harsher than stock? I have a 08 Sedan Sport and right now it feels perfect.
Sups man! Well I have the G37 19's on my G. And the Ride does become a little stiffer due to the 19 Inch rims and the tires having less Sidewalls than the 18's! So it does become a little harsher and you fell a little more Bumps than with the 18's. But my car has Eibach Springs and Stillen Says. So that may be why my ride is a little harsher. But there's some guy's on here that have the G37 rims with a stock G sport Suspension. Maybe they can Chime in here and give more Input from a stock Set-up.
I've got the stock sport suspension and wheels. It is a little stiffer than the Journey ride, but not bad at all for a sport suspension and 19" wheels/tires.
It's definitely an improvement over my 06 coupe's sport suspension, and at least as nice a ride as a majority of normal suspension cars I've rode in.

I am running 19" Volks and stock suspension on my car during the summer months and it is a noticeably bumpier. The lower profile tires have a tendency to follow ruts in the road.
We'll see what happens when I get the springs in

I'm running G37 19's too and I agree with these guys. You can feel the road a little more. But it also feels more stable (this could just be in my head), which is nice. One of the things I love about my car is the G37 wheels.

what's the easiest way of obtaining these wheels and what is the expected amount to dish out? Are you guys turning around and selling your stock wheels/tires or keeping them for winter?

wow, that's a lot of cash for some oem wheels. get some works.
just for information, when I went from oem 18's to the 19's (245/40s & 275/35s), the overall ride difference was very minimal. if you didn't know that the wheels/tires have been swapped, I don't think you'd have known something was different. knowing what to look for, i could tell a very slight bit of difference but very very minimal.
now, in the handling dept., when driving the car harder, it grips harder. i can tell that there's less tire roll and the car feels a little more planted during cornering. also, i'll say that these tires have really great grip, almost too much because it responds at the slightest movement, where the stockers were a tad sloppier and didn't respond so sharply. but, i like it and those 275s look killer.
