It would vary with the tire width, diameter, temperature, and compound as well as road surface type and temperature.
All that being said, you don't want to "dump" the clutch as that will almost certainly produce a smokey destruction of your tires. A light slip of the clutch to start moving the car and release will produce the best launch.

if you dump the clutch at 4k routinely your clutch will not last much more than 20k. I know that on mine I'll gradually let the clutch out in a smooth motion at around 2000-2500 and once it's engaged you can really get on it. I find that it gives good traction, is easy on the clutch etc.
4k launches are pretty useless.

wrong. Im on stock clutch at 62k and had over 100 1/4 passes alone. My launches were never below 2500 rpm. My last trip i was launching at 4500-5000 rpm with slipping the clutch a bit and never had issue with smell or excessive clutch wear.
so..., how can you tell you clutch does not have excessive wear?? have u dropped it out of the car and looked at the plates?

You just want to accelerate as fast as you can without spinning the tires.

2. camber
3. road conditions
4. Tire temperature
5. clutch control
6. throttle control
I can go on and on........
As u get more experience with hard launching all those things become second nature if u need to launch the car. I can get consistant 2.1 60ft times right now in any condition besides rain and snow on the street or at the strip. When u do lots of hard launching u get used to what the car likes at that split second and u adjust accordingly.
