Custom Magnaflow Exhaust Vids

Here are some vids I took. I've posted a couple interior vids, but after taking some outside ones as well, I thought I'd compile them in a single thread.

Items used were:
2.25" tubing
Magnaflow 14385 dual in/dual out X-pipe resonator
2 Magnaflow 14829 mufflers

Inside Revving (door open)

Outside Revving:

Outside Drive-Off

Inside driving, showing drone point.

Hope you enjoy. I want or wanted to add some Berk HFCs but now, after hearing this system, I'm afraid it might add in too much drone. Any opinions on that, I'm all ears.

EDIT: Just realized I put this in the general G35 section, not tech section. If it's a problem, feel free to move it. Thanks.

yea take some under car photos if you can. sounds real good and loud too!

So you got rid of the Y pipe and ran 2.25 straight to an X then to mufflers?

hows the ride feel as far as performance?

yea, 2.25" from the flanges at the cat pipes, to a resonator with an internal x flow, then 2.25" from there to the 2 mufflers.

below 4k, about the same. above 4k, it feels like it revs faster to the limiter and has a little more pull.

only photo i have at the moment is the one I just attached to the original post. sorry, didn't make it back to the shop in time for pics, but I'll try and get some. and it does have a little drone from 1800 to 2700, so I'm thinking about swapping out the x-resonator to two seperate resonators with H section, to see if they'll pull a little of the deep sound out of it before it hits the mufflers.

Here's and under car pic of the exhaust. I snapped it when they were putting the wheels on, which pics for that will be in another thread in the Picture section.

I looked through that but don't think it says what's done. I have a feeling its just mufflers with stock piping and resonators, which isn't going to do anything but change the sound. key is getting rid of that stock y pipe section. adding in the x, helps even more.

Owner of that car works for magnaflow.. parts he used were

2- 14415s as resonators
2- 12225s as mufflers
2- 35121s as tips

Here's what he did..
I went 2.25" piping from the converters back, starting with a new Y pipe- then I used 2 14" 4" round Magnaflow mufflers for resonators and 2 5x8 14" offset center mufflers for the back with 2 tips

Custom Magnaflow exhaust....!

Wow, very nice set up....smart using Magnaflow crossover and mufflers! It's
a shame the pipe bender reduced diameter where bends are. Magnaflow should make this system!

his car sounds the same on the inside as mine..... must be a magnaflow thing.... lol... but good to know he used two round resonators, which is what I was thinking of switching to. i'm actually starting to get used to it and like it... but it's making me drive faster...

thanks. with the mufflers included in there, I have roughly $450 in the whole system and I'd be willing to bet it performs just about as good as most any aftmkt system.
