Journalists complaining about 6MT are weenies

I think the reason you have so many complaints in a long term test is because they put many miles before the slave cylinder recall was performed. The recall wasn't done on the test vehicles until the later portion. Some cars had very touchy gas pedals too.
My car was pretty bad before the recall, I think thats why the previous owner traded it in after 6 months and 6K miles. I was a stick noob when I bought it so I had a few stalls, but even after I got used to the car I had some herky jerky action on many occasions. After the recall it has been much more pleasurable to drive.

In fact, if there is anyone who wants a side by side comparison, including a "smoking" run, I am more than happy to provide my G35X for such a worthy cause.
But, I can't speak to either since I haven't driven the Bimmers. I didn't see a point since I had no desire to own one (328). It was actually the only sports sedan in my pricerange I didn't drive. I would definitely drive a 335i, but it was too much $$.

I value perfomance, so I have no problem with the 335i being better, where things fall apart is when they try to make the argument for the 328i, which as we all know, is nonsense.
