I understand people who want to buy a new G being excited about the G 37 sedan. But why are people who reently bought G35s getting excited? our car is not changing a generation, but just getting obsolete. we are riding dinosaurs now. does anyone not realize this?

Because, apparently, not everyone is so terribly concerned with image or having the latest and greatest. Progress will happen whether you want it to or not. If you want to be miserable with what you have because of this fact, then you will inevitably be sad your whole life.

Like I said in my post, I'm excited about it because it will be just old enough for me to pick up a used one at a good price by the time I'm ready for a replacement.

All the more reason to lease... and get a shiny new G every 3 years.

NoNono, My point is not to be sad. I ll just trade in a car, thats it. My point is that does everyone not think that they should have waited one more year or maybe another six - 8 months to get this one out coz this gen sedan has just been around one year. I love infiniti being innovative, but i am just trying to guess if this would leave alot of customer following. People would eventually abstain from buying a new infiniti coz they would think that a new one would come out in a few months. just my two cents.

I did just the opposite. I bought my '06 G35 right when the '07s were being delivered to dealers. That, my friends, is the best time to get a great deal!

Option 1: high-mileage lease
Option 2: standard lease, pay penalties at the end (factor that into your TCO)
Option 3: buy used to avoid first year depreciation hit

Simple.
