Needless to say us X owners will finally see coilovers for our cars. With the GTR, X Sedan and X Coupe sharing the same lower linkage up front, they would have to be stupid not to make aftermarket suspension components for the AWD cars.

This hardly makes our cars obsolete. 1 mpg and 22hp won't make one bit of a difference to most buyers.
IMO, the difference between an 05 and an 04 G35 was much bigger, and there isn't much difference in price between those two.
These are just mid model upgrades. Ones that most of us probably would like to have, but not a dealbreaker for our cars.
Nothing like how the 2006 BMW 330i guys feel. Ouch.

You forgot VVEL with direct injection, 4 piston caliper brakes, 14" rotors, scratch shield paint, oh and the fuel economy hasn't been stated yet. So stop lying to yourself, it is a significant difference..

Yea, if the interior and exterior don't change, most people won't care.
A few may want the 7AT vs. the 5AT.... but my 6spd is the same between both models.
22hp and a brake upgrade that most won't feel is needed isn't really a big change.
The biggest news is the G37 convertible and AWD coupe.

agreed. It's enough in the numbers game to really do the job of pulling people away from BMW but it's definately not the biggest change we could see.Originally Posted by Cali G

08 WRX owners have something to complain about with the 09's coming out...we don't.

The G37 convertible will be a nice little number for Infiniti. I'm sure they'll pull it off correctly. I've always like the new gen SLK's and (even though the G conv. will be much larger) I'm sure I'll like this as well.

The european G37 sedan already debuted w/o interior changes... it was just a matter of if the US would get the 3.7L too.Originally Posted by sameerg
I am guessing they will give some surprises with the interior too. Just a hunch

Are you pulling that one out of your a.ss ? The VQ does not have direct injection. Originally Posted by noid858

That would pretty much make it a Z. Why would Nissan want to do that?Originally Posted by elayman
it looks way too stretched with the top down.. they should make it 2 seats and make it a foot shorter
As for the resale value impacts, expect them to be minimal. The only difference the non-gearheads that drive market values will even notice between an 08 & 09 is the bigger engine and badge change. The market doesn't care about bigger brakes, number of gears in an AT, or fancy clearcoat.
this was just CONFIRMED by nissan in the USA this week. i know this has been floating around for a while but wasn't yet "official". Just close the post already. Don't want to bother anyone with a 'repost'. I'll wait until i get the g37 sedan to post again.
