Thanks for the update. Please let us know if your music is still on the HD. Also, which throttle recalibration did you get? I think there may be a few revisions.

Yes what is this recalibration? What does it say on the service slip?

Thanks

The Music Box is still ALIVE!

the funny thing is the TSB (ITB08-017b) directs the tech to update the radio with a 08-09 or later Map Data Master Discs. I assumed it would have updated the maps too. Can anyone from Infiniti confirm this? (Rick?).

The throttle recalibration, TSB ITB08-017, dated May 16, 2008 remaps (at the ECU) the throttle so that the car does not lunge on take off. This was fixed in the 08 and later. Back then, a few of us here had long debates whether this phenomenon even existed. Soon after, the TSB was issued. I don't know if there are other revisions to this TSB since it was resolved in the 08's.

this explains why the service guy said they'd clean my pedal sensor and recalibrate the idle and such. That was one complaint about the car, from start, it wanted to GOOOOOOOO. throw you back in your seat kind of action, don't get me wrong, it's nice, but not always.

ive said this a few times, but it doesnt hurt to say it a few more times

I have come up with a rather good solution for the HDD fix...without worrying about losing anything.

All you have to do is change the radio station and reset it as which ever setting isnt working...and then set it back to what ever u want

for example: you have preset 1 as 100.3......and preset 1 isnt working....set preset 1's memory as 100.5....and then set it back as 100.3 again....and all fixed.

Yeah I tried that already loooong time ago.. But for me it was a temporary fix as the problem came back multiple times.. Not fun trying to reset your preset while driving on the freeway..

wow didnt know that this thread was still alive. I had mine done a while ago and yes it does clear out everything or at least it did for me. I am really happy I got this done because ever since i got the fix, I havnt had any preset issues since and my navi screen has not frozen yet like it did couple times before the fix.

I had mine done two weeks ago. (Made the throttle response better). I'd recommend it if your having problems with your presets.
