I believe he was being facetious. He basically said "if you want to do good burnouts, just spend about $5000!".

If he was serious, I have better advise, spend $1000 on a fox body Mustang. You can do burnouts all day long...in a closed course of course.

 

Get some N20 and put the largest jets in, hit the gas and then SQUEEZE!!!!!

 

I just hate seeing people abuse good machinery. I drive the snot out of mine for one weekend a year (Raging Bull Texas Stampede), but I don't abuse it.

These things are not cheap to fix if you break them. As you will soon find out. So don't bitch to the service writer about "warranty".

burnouts in these cars are a bad idea...i tried to do it in the loaner and it went into "limp home" mode the 335i's were notorious for before the oil pan issue...this car wouldn't even shift into second gear because i tried to burnout...i had to shut the car off and let it "cool off" for about 10 minutes before I was able to use the other gears...even in drive, it would just stay in 1st gear and would not shift...i will never do a burnout or attempt one in this car again

 

exactly, if u wanna go fast, and for cheep, a stanga is the way to go.
the old 5.0 and 4.6. there is no replacement for displacement.

as for the G35 auto, ehh im not sure. i got the 6mt and my *** end slides all over the place

 

There is a sensor under the shift ****. U lift up the middle compartment then pull down the small bottom part of the know and take off the little clip and bring the **** up and it comes off after lift on the gray part of the middle. You will see that the whole middle will come up. There will be a sensor there( its a pretty big sensor) disconnect that and the VDC, Slip, and the ABS light will come on. After that u can KILL tires like crazy

Hey not to steal the board but for some reason I don't have the power to even try to get a burnout started, I hold the brake and do the gas it only revs to just under 2k, and then it slowly starts to accelerate. I just cannot figure it out.

 

See post #4 in this thread. The stock behavior is that if the the ECU sees brake and gas at the same time, it cuts power to the engine. It's a safety feature, thank those old "unintended acceleration" issues that happened in the early 2000s. The car needs to be modified if you want to do a standing burnout. The most low-tech option is to unplug the switch for your brake lights at the top of the brake pedal. Just remember to plug it back in before driving on public roads because your brake lights won't be working. Another option is a tune from Uprev with ARC features will allow burnout mode without having to disable your brake lights.

 

This is by far the best and safest way. PM me if you want to give it a try
