2008 vs 2009

Factors to consider:

The current model offers a $3,000 of dealer cash if you finance.
Nothing stopping you from paying the loan off in a month or two using a low rate home equity loan and getting the discount.

The 2008 is going at invoice when 2009 first comes out they will be in high demand and the discount will be much less.

The 2009 will be better the HP difference is not as big as the new trans and someone said that it will have rear wheel steering?

I think the $3000 off is only if you pay cash, it can't be combined with the .9%

That's correct..whether you lease or purchase, you get the $3K dealer cash IF your dealer is being good and passing all $3K to you. But you CANNOT combine the 0.9% WITH the dealer cash...yet....we'll see what happens by mid month.

no you don't get $3000 towards a lease. It's only if you are buying Cash or not going through IFS for a lease (i.e. third party leasing instutition w/ lots of fees)

Does anyone have any specific base pricing and option pricing for the 09s? I haven't been able to find any build sheets or option prices.

That's because only the insiders have that.

I just ordered a G37 Sedan 6MT with premium, navigation, tech and mud guards today. The dealer said they did not have pricing yet but agreed to invoice +$300. I'm sure 7AT buyers will be able to get better deals once the 09's arrive on the lots. The accessory/option list for the 09's was quite interesting as has been reported by da mayor. It's too bad they didn't have pics available of the aero kit or the black grill.

This is soooo tricky. I went out to the local dealer and they have a car that is EXACTLY what I am looking for (Journey + NAV + premium wheels) in a G35 sedan. I can get it for $1500 under invoice in addition to the full $3000 incentive. Obviously, $4500 under invoice seems so attractive.

As this is a car for my wife's daily transportation, the additional HP of the 37 does not matter too much to me obviously (after saying that, I officially feel old). Besides, when driving the 37 coupe I could not feel any notable difference. The 7-speed auto is cool, but for a daily 6-mile commute on city streets I am not sure we would even see much advantage to that. We will probably keep the car 2-3 years.

Do you guys think that the 4500 under invoice would counteract the drop in resale value that will be realized when the G37 sedan comes out? I know it is all speculation, but you guys would have a more educated guess than me.

I imagine the dealer really wants to unload the car so I am possibly debating to increase the offer of 1500 under invoice (before the 3K incentive) to 2 or 2500 to sweeten the deal.

Any opinions?

Thanks!
-GT

Can you share the date when Infiniti will release the pricing?
Thanks,

Expecting soon, indeed, with cars on at least 1 Dealer lot....

Good deal. That's $200 better than I got on the same car. When are you expecting? Good luck with the rest of your transaction.
