Wow,

Went in to get the sunroof seal fixed, it was loose and hanging down and get the button on the steering wheel fixed(to scroll through presets).


Dealer ordered new nav unit should be in by Saturday for install. Good thing this car is still under warranty. Dealer said Infniti will be issuing a notice to owners soon to have the units replaced since this is a common problem.

Already saw the TSB i think ill wait till i get the letter then get it fixed, however i wonder if they mess with the hard drive(im guessing they wont) as i do not want to loose my musicbox collection... anyone know?

 

From what the dealer told me, its the actual bluetooth controller unit that they replace. I just had mine done last week. Sorry tell you Kool yaar, but you lose all your music. I didn't have a lot of music ripped into my hard drive, so I didn't mind. To me, having the part function correctly outweighs my ripped music.

 

^NOOOOO! that might be enough reason for me to not get the TSB performed, however i just looked through the TSB and it says to replace the entire A/V unit, so could you plz reconfirm that its just the bluetooth controller, Thanks for your input....

It's a odd problem with the A/V Controll Unit that some of us got all at once.

 

since they replace the HDD for this TSB.... will i get the original NAV software or the UPDATED NAV software that came out a few months ago???

 

1) its weird how it happened to a lot of ppl at once
2) why do they have to replace the bluetooth unit? what does that have anything to do with the radio?
3) yes i believe they clear our your HD
4) theres is a better solution:

set a new memory to which ever radio preset isnt working, and then set it back to what you had. Ive done this and its been working fine for me for about 3 weeks. Its better than a trip to the dealer and loss of ur HD music

This is happening only to the NAV equipped models....so I guess not all the models...well anyway it is pretty much wide spread..I just called the dealer and let him know and ...they are going to place an order for the new AV unit..and it might take a week ... well anyway....my existing BT is not working well..so I hope something might improve....we will see..

 

For those of you that have had the TSB done any idea if there is an ipod port on the new av unit like the 08's?
