when i change the radio stations, radio would get stuck on station 5 and 6 (when changing up) and 1 and 2 (when changing down). i dont think it is the audio control, since it works fine with music box. is it the radio? has anyone encounter this problem before and if so, what is the fix? thanks in advance.

 

I just got this problem as well....This is what is happening with mine....When I go down the presets..... on the radio..it is changing like A1..A2...A1...A2..
A3....it doesn't go to Preset A3 the 1st time for some reason it is going the 2nd time though...not sure.....sounds like a similar problem

 

yes, that sounds like the exact same problem. it is different with every radio preset, but all presets have the problem.

i just hooked up the iphone 3g bluetooth a few days ago. could this be related? but, no problem with music box, so it sounds like it is not a hardware issue.

i tried to shut off the engine a few times, but no luck.

unplug battery?

I had the same issue yesterday. Still happening today. I've also opened up a thread on this, but not many have experienced it. Taking it to the dealer soon. I'll update you guys on what they say when I get back.

 

I don't think its your iphone st1sj. I don't own one and its happening to my car. I think its funny how it all started yesterday for us.

This just happened to me this morning for the first time. I was on present 4 I believe, went down and it went to preset 1 (did not highlight or display I was on preset 1) but I could no longer use the control to go up/down. Manually hit the # button and it started working again.

OK - It fails consistantly. Once I hit preset 1 while scrolling it stays there and it is no longer highlighted. When I scroll to preset 4 from 2, 4 will not highlight, then it will skip to 1. If I start at 4 I can scroll to 6 then it goes back to 4 then to 1. Confusing, but it's consistant and just started this morning. I only tried on preset "A".

 

Ok back from the dealer. Once again we've stumped Infininti. . . .big surprise right? They said that they'll need my car for about an hour and half. Earliest they could get me in is next Tuesday. If anybody figures this out before then, please update all of us.

 

i fixed my the old fashioned way.

(1) scroll through each station. whenever a preset says this "A " instead of "A1", that means the preset is somehow missing.

(2) change the channel, save the new channel as "A1"

(3) change back to the channel before, save the old channel as "A1"

(4) repeat as necessary

that should fix it, until it pops up again.

am curious as to the cause.

There's even as TSB, which is ITB08-037. Says that the A/V Control Unit needs to be replaced. I called the dealer and they went ahead and ordered me a new A/V Control Unit.
