How much for 2007
How much for 2007
How much should I pay for a 2007 G35x with Serengeti Sand color, premium package, and certified? 9500 miles. The history is it was a fleet vehicle for 11 months. Auctioned to the local dealership.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Dealer is actually asking 29,999. Is it dumb to pay that much or is it fair? I offered 28 but he did not want to negotiate so we left. He basically said with certified and 1.9% financing, they won't make deals. Is that dumb or what.
I think he should meet you half way - that would be about right, for a fleet vehicle. Pretty good APR, though... "certified" is more than negated by the fact that it was a fleet vehicle and was likely abused/not properly broken in/etc.
I think we can assume the same for any used car, rental, lease, fleet, or even private owner. There is no way to tell how it was treated for the first period of it's life. I think with an automatic and AWD and 9500 miles it's pretty safe to assume it was not beat up too bad. There's no way to tell I guess, is there?
Kelley Blue Book according to retail estimates it should be $31,920 for excellent condition (which is rare).
Private Party pricing base on condition:
Excellent $28,405
Good $26,970
Fair $24,915

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $24k for that 07x rental car.
FWIW, I bought my 07 G35S over a year ago for $26k even.
You could easily find a NON rental 07 for around $26k or less now.

Private party "good" condition is my general rule of thumb for a "good" deal.
But, when it's a previous fleet vehicle, it's automatically worth a few grand less IMO. It's easy to assume that pretty much every fleet vehicle has been beaten on. Everyone floors the car all the time and puts 87 octane in them.
Well, I bought it today... So thanks for everyones input. It was a corporate fleet vehicle owned by Nissan, they say it must have been a manager's or something like that. Since it's mine now, that's what I'll believe...

I'm pretty sure you can look up the VIN and find out where the car came from.
