Bought the G37S wheels, now I need the car

OK, let's all agree. The 2009 G37 sedan rims are hideous. There are plenty of posts and threads showing just how nasty the new 18" rims are. To me, they look like Pep Boys hubcaps.

You know what? The 07-08 G35 rims don't look all that good either. They look undersized and too narrow. I needed an OEM alternative in a big way.

When the opportunity to buy the wheels/tires from a 2008 G37S Coupe came up, I had to make the purchase. The wheel/tire package was a 210 mile take-off set with TPMS included. Better yet, the seller was local. Great guy. Perfect wheels

My wife can't understand buying rims for a car that I don't yet own.
Only an enthusiast would understand.

Do you mind me asking what you paid for those? I have a 37 on order and plan on putting a set of those on as soon as winter is over.
Mine should arrive sometime around Christmas

I've been sitting on my stinkin' aftermarkets for about 6 weeks now. I was definitely disappointed with the delivery push back.

I paid $1860.

At first I thought the price was too high, but it did compare favorably to a recent Ebay auction for G37 wheels/tires that ended at $1775.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120305946051

The difference was my set had all the TPMS (worth about $320-400) and had only 210 miles vs 2000+ miles. I hesitated bidding on the Ebay wheels when they were described as "near mint" condition and the seller wouldn't respond to email questions.

Buying local has many advantages including shipping cost savings and the ability to actually physically see the wheels before buying.

Trust me, you will not regret your purchase. The rims look mean on a G35/G37 sedan...as I have those rims myself. As for pricing, yeah Infiniti rims are not cheap by any means. I got mine for 2G w/ TPMS + 1G for the PotenzaRE50A's

Thanks. The great looking pictures of G37 rims on the sedan influenced my decision heavily. Maybe if I can unload the OEM 18" wheels and tires for $800, the entire upgrade would only be $1k.

DeanOU - Damn when I saw how much you paid for your 19's I balked...envious I am...I guess that's what happens when impatience gets the better of you. I got mine about 1 month after the G37 coupe came out. Good job on getting the rims at the price you got them for. Hope your '09 sedan comes rolling out soon

Wow, I had no idea that they got that much for those 19"s. I need to buy some spare wheels for our 08 sedan (sport 18s currently on it) - but I need something cheap that my wife can curb rash and it won't cause me to need to hire a divorce attorney!

They sure are good looking though!
