I really really need help....
Two days ago my car battery died. Now I cannot get into the car. The modification that was done on the driver side door actually works. By taking the key cylinder out of the door and taking off the orange connector piece that connects to the rod that allows the windows to open the window was removed. The reason was to prevent a person using a screw driver from easily popping off the escutcheon and forcing the windows to roll down. The reason the key cylinder was removed was for a secondary measure to really prevent the door from being opened. A dummy cylinder is in the place of the key cylinder. You can find these on any of the other three doors. Now I am screwed. My battery is dead and I can't get in. Do anyone know what I can do to get into my car without damaging it?Please someone help me.
Damn, looks like all your efforts to make your car secure really backfired
Maybe a top-notch locksmith could get in w/ one of those door jimmies, but it also sounds like you made that tougher to do as well
Good Luck!

Would need to jack up the passenger side front wheel, pry away some wheel well liner and you may be able to get to it. This should be done carefully, the positive terminal is not the easiest thing to clamp on to.

lol, thats what i just said. the alternator is right there. just jumped on to try and find some pics to see where the connector is
I'd think the odds are that it's more likely to have a battery problem (hence causing this problem) then to have the car saved from theft or tampering due to the changes made. Security is always about striking a balance. You can have all the security in the world if you want zero functionality.

As for your current dilemma, can a glass shop cut or break the window without much collateral damage? A piece of glass is relatively cheap. Maybe they have a way to get through safety glass without shattering it.
