I think they're OK....
Definitely slower ramping up to temp than my '04 was, but not bad.

My BMW bun warmers were definitely the best of any cars I've had.

I might be able to help here.

I have had my 08X since May. The driver seat has never warmed up. I can keep it on hi for 45 minutes and I still didn't feel anything. I was questioning if it got warm, or if the warmth was my own body heat. I have had 2 other cars with heated seats and never put them above low setting, so I know it's not me.

I sat in the passenger seat and it warmed up with no problems. I took it to the dealer and they ordered me a new bottom cushion heater. Apparantly only the back of the seat was actually working.

So next Monday I am going back to the dealer (2 hours away) to have the bottom cushion heater changed. They said it takes a FULL DAY as it is very delicate work. Hopefully this fixes my problem. I can keep you posted.

i think i said this earleier but just FYI, i had a similar problem got teh Heated Seat TSB done and though it does take a bit to heat up it doe sget to the point where i start feeling too hot and have to turn it off or to low... so im pretty have with my heated seats minus the little longer it takes to warm up.

This is one of my complaints i have about this car...I love heated seats; after a hard 12hr day of work.. (lifting patients, transfering patients, running from room to room..tough work being a nurse) my back kills! My IS250AWD had the best heated seats i've ever experienced. Nevermind the IS250s ventilated seats during summer was great too! Im done complaining...

First time i have heard of the TSB on the 07's...i have an 08 but im gonna have my dealer still do the TSB and see if it helps. Need to go getta oil change too.

The heat on my seats are also getting better the more times I used the heat - pretty strange if you ask me but I'm happier now.

I have an '07 and the seats heat up just fine. IMO, I'd take extra cushioning over heat since I don't like them toasty anyway (but my GF might disagree )

I love my G35xS to be honest, but it appears to a bit behind the competition a couple of the amenities. Seems Infiniti saved some for the M.

From my 02 Max to this car, the heated seats and lack of a heated steering wheel is a downgrade. The heated seats in the G are OK, they just take a little longer to heat up. But that's kind of the point right? I live in Wisconsin, instant warmth from the seat and the steering wheel goes a long way.

According to many, though I don't care much the dual climate control is sub par. Seems to work to me, but apparently the competition offers a more responsive system.

There is a thread right now about rain sensing wipers. The G lacks this.

Ventilated seats? No luck on the G.

My friend just purchased a fully loaded 2009 Mazda 6. The heated seats, climate control and blind spot senors are quite well done. The Nav and dash aesthetics, not so much. It also has rain sensing wipers, but I guess that feature doesn't really interest me much. Beyond that a decent car, but not the performance car the G is. More similar to my 02 Max.

The G is a great looking car inside and out and though it may be behind a bit in amenities, what sets it apart from most of the competition is its drivability.

My G seats take too long to heat up and only get mildy warm. Had an M and they were WAY worse. They used the ventilated seats for heat and the seats didn't warm up until the car engine did. Poor design. As previous post mentions - my main attraction for heated seats is to get warmth before the engine and main heater start kicking in. Oh well.

In regard to rain sensing wipers - had em before, my wife's car has them but I'm not a big fan. They really never seem to work precisely the way I want. The only time I thought they were great was when a big truck would pass and throw a ton of water on the windshield and they would kick in quickly for a few seconds. Other than that though not really as good as the plain ol' intermittents for me (speed sensing is fine but not really noticed that much).
