I keep a bottle of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer and a microfiber towel in my car.

Drive a few blocks, spray, and wipe.

I used to do that too, but I can see dust on the paint just after going around the block and don't want to rub it into the paint.

I just fold a paper towel and jam it in the space below the mirror - when I go to drive the car take it off and voila! No more drips.

I might have to try that. My method so far has just been to wash the car on sunday afternoon when I don't have much going on so it can sit and dry for a couple hours. Of course, that won't work once it gets cold.

This is by far the most irritating thing about this car to me, but if that's my only complaint I think I'm doing pretty good!

I bought this little Husky compressor from Home Depot. Its great for detailing get your mirrors all the cracks around the tail lights and headlights. Under $100

Most carwashes should have a compressed air hose in each bay. They do locally here anyhow. They are great for blowing out the mirrors and the water that sits in the big fat lips on 10" rims.

LOL, if this is your only major complaint with the car then thats a plus.

I just find this hilarious that it is so upsetting to some people

You're right, this car is so great our concerns are trivial. But even trivial concerns have a good solution right?

This has been an issue ever since they came out with these types of mirrors.
The only way to insure you don't have water running down the sides of your
car is to blow out the mirrors using a leaf blower or what ever you have in
the garage.

When I dry my car I used "The Absorber" which is a synthetic drying chamois. At least thats what the package says. It's great at absorbing water though. It has a soft sponge like finish and its great for drawing water out of mirror unit and also from around the grill and trunk. You may want to give that a shot.

i just blow underneath the mirror since thats where the water is dripping from and that usually does the trick!
