Water drips from side mirrors

Okay, I've had my G for a few months now and am really getting tired of going back 10 times after a wash and dry to dry up the drops running down the door skin that the mirrors keep stored up. Does anybody have a trick to "drain" the side mirrors of their water all at once? I was wondering if they could be sealed up or some other solution.

Thanks!

haha i hate those damn drops, you can dry your car for ten minutes then take off and water will drip down both the driver and passenger door!. My only suggestion is to try to feed your towel threw the slits of the mirror and it will collect most of the water. Good luck!

I usually just sit there and slam my door untill no more water....kind of crude but it works.... unless you have air handy then you can blow it out....

No, I just wipe up several times. Not a big deal, there's beer drinking involved as I wait

I take a couple of microfiber towels and thread them through the hinge and turn the mirror to one side. I then dry the rest of the car, by the time I am done, 99% of the drips are gone.

I tried hair dryer it works. Also tried to leave paper towel under the mirror. Both works great. Mostly just go back in 10-15 minutes and wipe it off.

I like this the best. Although I don't drink.

i wipe it 10 times if i am doing some detail work.....

but the best method is to wash it, dry it, then drive at the most 1/4 mile-after that do a "final wipe". it works everytime.

I use my air compressor to go around the car and hold a towel over the cracks so it doesn't blow all over the place. Make sure you use a rubber tip on the air gun to avoid any unintentional scratches from a metal tip.

I usually wipe the car down after the was then start detailing it.

I wipe the drops from the mirror several times while I'm detailing the car.

By the time I'm done detailing all the water leaked out and have been wiped off.

+1 on the air compressor. You also NO EXCUSE for low tire pressure on all 5 tires.

I use my leafblower. It also gets the water out of the gas door, the door bumpers, side skirts and wheels- all throw water onto that nice clean car.
