I have been on fence about snapping up a 08 G35 for some time, and the thing that would always push me would be to find a LP with Graphite interior Journey Nav with the wood option. I don't think I have seen any car regardless of color ona lot with the wood trim and I cehck all the dealers inventory in my area periodically. Seems liek this option is a teaser opton

I agree and that's why I bought my 08 G35x LP with Graphite and wood interior about 7 weeks ago. Originally Posted by kluken

Wow really? When I picked mine up a couple months ago it was one of only two out of about 20 that did not have the wood trim! Made my decision a lot easier, because I also am not a big fan of it. I just assumed the wood trim was the more common.

We bought a G35X in Obsidian Black, Graphite interior, with Nav, Premium, Technology, and Wood in early September.
We were considering Platinum Graphite but they didn't have that color with the rosewood trim. I think the OB we bought might have been the only G35 with wood trim on a lot of about 60 G35's.
My guess is that it's available but dealers just don't order it for stock very often and likely even less often with the sport package if it's offered that way. The rosewood gives the car more of a luxury feel and a warmer interior. The washi aluminum trim is a nice quality touch but gives the car a colder, more high-tech feel. It just depends what your taste is.

I have LP, Graphite and wood and love the combo. It's the number one reason I did not get the sport. No wood option on the sport. At least at that time...

Since you know what you want contact all the Infiniti dealerships within
a 50 mile radias, you'll find what you want. This is how I found my car when
my dealership told me I'd have to order my car....not to mentiong at least a
30 day waiting period. It's a buyers market, start looking!

if you bitch and complain enough you can get them to switch it all out and include it in the deal, trust me i have done it a few times, pays well for the tech =D thats why i don't mind doing it haha

I had to special order mine back in 07, but these cars were a little harder to find when I bought mine.
The dealer showed me some after-market options and they all looked horrible, so I dropped a deposit and settled in for the 2-3 month wait.
Someone who had ordered the same exact car dropped out of his order and I got mine early.
The 45 day wait was so worth it in the end.
Get what you really want, even if there's a wait involved... otherwise, you'll regret it later on.

I've seen some aftermarket kits that I think looks WAY better than the factory wood.
Dark dark brown wood with a gloss finish on a black interior looks AWESOME.

I was actually surprised Infiniti had chosen a satin finish when I first saw the wood trim on a G35. Most manufacturers choose a gloss finish either for looks or ease of cleaning. On the other hand, a satin finish won't show fingerprints or light scratches quite as easily.Originally Posted by Mike@RiversideInfiniti

I like the satin finish. It allows you to SEE the wood and not be distracted by a glossy finish. I know I'm probably in the minority, but many times I see high gloss wood trim and I just think it looks cheap due to being too glossy. It just looks like plastic.Originally Posted by SpudRacer
