Is there a way to put the heater on recirc without the A/C coming on? And is there a way to put the A/C on outside vent?

 

There is no way to put the heater on recirculation without AC.

To put the AC with outside vent, you turn the AC on and just hit the recirculation button to switch between recirculation/vent....

To have the vent open with the heater/AC off, press one of the mode buttons (blow directly out, to feet, to windshield, ect)

 

You can close the vent by hitting the recirc button, but the heat will not be on.

You can also have just the fan by pressing the A/C button to turn A/C off.
