Dumb question re: Door Lock Button illumination
Dumb question re: Door Lock Button illumination
Hi all.
Since it's now starting to get dark earlier I just noticed something for the first time.
The door lock/unlock button on the driver's side is only lit on the lock icon. the unlock icon is not lit.
It's not really that big of a deal but I was just curious if that was the same on everyone else's G. It's plenty easy to tell which way to flip the switch to unlock the doors but I hadn't noticed it before.
I will also have to check the passenger side next time I drive to see if it's the same thing on that side.

Thanks guys. That's what I suspected. If you can ID the button and clearly see the direction for lock it's pretty easy to determine how to unlock.
Just wanted to make sure I didn't have a bulb out.

Yes it's normal, and I've wondered about this too. The best answer I can come up with is a safety issue; if you ever need to lock your doors in a hurry, you look down and there's only one lock icon. Hit that, and your doors are locked, no hunting for lock vs. unlock.
