Ive recently noticed that when I start my car up in the garage and the radio is set to a FM/AM/Sat station, the minute I shift the gear in Reverse, it switches the radio to my Ipod (Disc/Aux). This seems to only occur when I am in my garage but I know this was not happening before. Just want to see if anyone else is facing this type of issue or if it is any real concern. Thanks.

 

Probably a complete coincidence. The Ipod comes on and takes over after it powers up. You probably get ready in basically the same process and timing each time so it is coming on about the time you're shifting.

Hmm interesting...I wonder why I noticed it only in my garage...go figure :/

 

I know how to solve it. Just back up in the garage when you arrive home. So you don't have to put it in reverse when you are ready to leave. j/k

Mine does this everytime the power on the ipod is gettin really low. I hook it up the computer for a full charge and it stops happening.

 

Well what is happening is your ipod drained overnight, so when you turn on your car it take a while to turn your ipod back on, when your ipod powers up the car thinks you just plugged it in and is planning on listening to it so it jumps over to the ipod. The timing is coincidental, try sitting there the next time for a bit longer and you'll see that i'll change over to the ipod, if the battery did drain.
