K&N Typhoon Intake Group Buy - '07+ G35 Sedan

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know that we are currently trying to organize a group buy for the K&N 69-7082TS Typhoon intake system for the 2007+ G35 Sedans (V36). You can go to K&N's web-site for details on the intake: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-7082TS

See the following link in the Group Buy Section for more details: https://g35driver.com/forums/group-b...group-buy.html

We currently have 5 people on the list, but still need another 5+ people to make this happen. Who else wants a K&N?!?!

Please feel free to send me a P/M if you have an questions.

Adrian

If you use the link above to the post in the Group Buy section it lists all of the details... The Group Buy price is $349, but we need to get another 5 or so people on board to get that price. If we can't get enough for the $349 price, then I still may be able to negotiate a price of $359. Let me know if you'd like me to add you to the list.

Hey A17z. I believe you have to be a Premier Member to get into the Group Buy section, that's why I will be posting all of the information here as well.

I plan to post all of the info here in a few hours when I'm done working.

Let me know if you are interested in joining the group buy and I will add your name to the list. The price is $359 (which includes sales tax) + shipping.

Ok guys... Here's the info on the group buy for the K&N intakes. The total price is $369.98 = $359 + $10.98 shipping (this includes sales tax). To execute the group buy you can either use the below link and following the check out procedures:

http://www.jaycorptech.com/showprodu...?productid=204

Or you can send $369.98 ($359 + $10.98 shipping) via PayPal to the following:

sales@jaycorptech.com

This includes sales tax and standard UPS Ground shipping.

If paying via PayPal, then please include your g35Driver username, along with your full name and shipping address in the comments field. Please feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

I have talked the vendor into leaving this Group Buy open for th next few weeks, so if you are not listed in the Group Buy, but still want an intake, please feel free to use the above link to purchase your intake at the negotiated Group Buy price.

If we end up getting another 5 or 6 people in on the Group Buy, then I may be able to get everyone $10 credit once the Group Buy closes.

Yeah, there was a group buy on the Injen a while back, but the price was still well over $100 more than for the K&N. The Injen looks very nice, but it's not worth $100 - $150 more IMO.

Well, both KulG35 and myself plan to do before and after dyno runs with the K&N intake, so we will let you know how it goes.

My understanding is that most aftermarket intakes on our cars give you an increase in HP over the midrange RPM's, but not much of a gain or no gain at peak RPM. This means more usable HP where you need it most, but no real gain in peak HP.... Plus they sound great!!!

I know nothing about the retailer, but I came across this: http://www.gottruckparts.com/search.php?query=69-7082TS

They are purportedly selling the K&N 69-7082TS for $261.95 shipped.

Anyone know if this is legit? I am thinking about trying it out.

dyno comparison vs. stock available for K&N? I'm mainly looking for power over sound.

^ K&N has dyno charts listed on their web-site, but these gains they show are unsubstantiated until a 3rd party actually does the test. I plan to dyno my G before and after the K&N, so we will see if there are any actual results... I will post the results in a week or two.

That's VERY cheap and well below distributor cost. Most likely it is incorrect, or maybe is actually the pricing for the single intake unit for the 2005-2007 G35 Coupe (part # 69-7081-TS). I'd be curious to know if they will actually honor that price. Keep us posted if you decide to buy one from them.
