Infiniti Dealer Overstock Hall of Shame!

Hey, it's a slow nite at work, so as I wait for my G37, which is supposedly somewhere on a train between Long Beach and Atlanta, I thought I would search 25 cities near me and see if anyone had any G37's. I didn't find a lot of G37's, but look at all of the G35's I found! So that I don't offend anyone, I just picked random dealers in the following cities and found out how many G35's they had left. I present my Inifiniti Dealer Overstock Hall of Shame Top 25. (The number in parentheses is how many G37 sedans they have.)

Atlanta (Nalley) 97
Houston 80
Tampa 56 (2 G37's)
St. Louis 54 (1 G37)
Edison, NJ 52
Raleigh, NC 50
Cincy 46
Charlotte 44
Baton Rouge 43
Baltimore 42
Orlando 32
Richmond 30 (2 G37's)
Columbus 28
Nashville 27
Miami 25
Jacksonville 24
Louisville 23
Greenville, SC 22
Columbia 20
Knoxville 15
Chattanooga 14
Birmingham 14
Rhode Island 11 (2 G37's)
Mobile 9
Savannah 8

CNN is reporting that Japan is now in a recession because the USA is not buying cars and stereos. We would all like to buy G37's, but until they get us some cars to buy, we can't get Japan out of their recession.

Feel free to add your city to my list if you wish to do your own internet research!

lol I have been looking and hoping that my neighborhood dealer would have some G37S at invoice + 0% financing, but no luck so far. Looks like all of the ones you listed are over on the east coast.

Epic fail.
I'm waiting until they have $5000 dealer incentive + 0% financing.
Infiniti is going to have the same problem with their G37 sedans at the end of the 2009 model year. They're just backing everything up and prolonging the problem.

i don't know about other places in the country, but we in the NYC area had to buy at least 100+ more G35x sedans last month to keep our inventory up to date. We're clearing them out with ease though while I know some places might have 140+

I purposely left Mike@Riverside (15 G35's and 3 G37 sedans) and da Mayor (71 G35's) off of the list because their contributions to this forum negate any overstock shame that their dealerships might have.

Just another reason as to why there's limited to choose from when it comes to 09 Sedans! UGH!

Just to be clear, the entire auto industry sales volume is down and inventory is up. This isn’t specific to Infiniti. Sure, some brands are suffering worse than others, but overall, people are not buying cars at a pace the industry was expecting back when many of these cars were built. You may be able to get a good deal on a new car, but if you need to trade in, be prepared to be low balled on your trade in. After all, trading in doesn’t change the dealer inventory count. They still need to sell your trade or auction it off. All of this additional inventory just lowers trade in value.

The people in the best position are the ones coming off leases because the dealer has to take the car back into possession. No trade in negotiation.

I agree 100% with the entire industry being down BUT Infiniti is way on the end as far as having a lot of leftover vehicles, not to mentioning the delaying of the 09s will just keep it going. I'm thinking 09 will be a short production run for Infiniti. At least they'll need to do that so this doesn't happen again next year.

The dealer that I bought my car in still has 44 '08 G35x's and no word of when the '09s are going to be in.
I was just in there about a week ago to get my winters thrown on and as I was looking around the show room, at least 3 salesmen came up to me and asked me if I was interested in anything...and if I had the $ I would. But times really are hard now...
