i hope you realize how stupid you sound right now, if that was real carbon fiber, like i said, it would cost an arm and a leg. plus if, like you said, you work with carbon fiber you would see that carbon fiber has it's fibers set differently, kthxbai. (GJ wasting money dipsh*t)

I hate to say it, but your the one that sounds stupid right now, DGH. Carbon Fiber is not that expensive at all... it is the tooling and manufacturing process that can make it expensive. The reason manufacturer's charge so much for carbon fiber is because the consumers are willing to pay for it. It is actually quite cheap to bring these parts in from China, especially if there is existing tooling. I currently work with 9 different speaker manufacturer's in China that all deal with and supply carbon fiber (as well as fiberglass) speaker components and there is VERY little cost different between the two. You should just stop trying to make yourself sound like you actually know what your talking about.

Now all that said, I do believe that this unit is made with inexpensive polyester resin, as opposed to more expensive epoxy resin. The finish is not as clear as I have seen with epoxy resins... This does make the parts cheaper, but the epoxy resin is really only an issue when the part is under extreme stress and flexes, which can cause the polyester resin to crack. I'm not too concerned with that since this is just an engine cover.

Yeah, it's always never ceases to amaze me what some people will go through just to make themselves sound like an idiot naysayer.

Oh well, guess there's one in every croud. Thanks for the nice comments, though, Robby... they are well appreciated! I am very happy with it. The fitment is great, it's a little thin, but it's still pretty solidly made... plus, I think it looks great too!

Yeah, no ****, UGA. I never asked for his opinion, nor do I want it. Now, if I had paid thousands of dollars for a freaking enginer cover, like he thinks I should have, then that would definitely be a rip off. LOL

Lol not this again uga... btw when are you getting your lights in? I wanna see installed pics

2G, that's a sick engine cover...how much did it run you if you don't mind me asking (you can PM if needed). Don't even bother with that dgh guy, he's just a negative "know it all". Plus, even if it wasn't fully CF, who gives a ****...it still looks sick

What's up with the headlights, UGA? Also, you have any pics of your JL sub installed? I'm gonna add a single 10" or 12" in the trunk sometime soon... the factory Bose woofers in the doors don't even get close to low enough.

Thanks for the nice comments on the engine cover, Borna. I'll send you a PM with the info you asked for.

Well the summary is this, Uga said he is getting a headlight mod from CC, but the cost was something like $1600 then robby was like it's ripoff when you can get it done for like $600 if you go through I-gor/Xvert. Then it went on from there hahahaa.

Thanks for the PM Adrian

uga is getting some custom LED work done on his headlights, definitely an expensive mod but so far they look pretty good

Here's a pic of the prototypes, hope he doesn't mind me posting this.
