Places to Put/Zip-Tie Front Plate on Sport Bumper

hey guys,

My moms been driving around for the past year front-plateless and my family and I were coming home from a wedding reception and got pulled over for no front-plate. Thanks god my mom has a clean record, he let us go with a warning. I was wondering where you guys put/zip-tie your front plate if you were to. Last time when we went down to the US for a shopping trip I just zip-tied it to the middle grill, I'm thinking thats the only spot. But if you guys know any other methods that don't cost $65 to get a hook mount, or get holes drilled that'd be great. The plate dangling in the middle to me looks like the G is making a face with a tongue sticking out.

That or it could be my childish imagination

Thanks, Brendan

Spend the $70 and get the Stillen front plate bracket.

You have a beautiful $35K+ car and you're pulling out zip ties and duct tape to save a few bucks?

There is a guy somewhere in this forum (I can't seem to find him right now) that sells his own bracket that is half the price of the Stillen.
Ping a mod, as they may be able to help you find him. He's a Sponsor on this site, so they should be able to tell you who he is.

Good luck.

Don't cheap out on this one. In my opinion. If you don't do it right it will screw up the look of the car. Zip tie is a big no for G's.

The S bumper tow hook is offset to one side,
so the Stillen still ends up looking similar to this location.....

JMO, but I'd rather just use the OE mount, at least it looks balanced.

Why not just tilt it a little. I don't think it has to be right angle to the ground. I saw some really good license plates in Europe. They were just stickers. You were able to put it on you bumper like anything with the 3m film.

I hate front license plates. They ruin the car's look.

They do ruin the cars looks unfortunately. My mom definitely won't spend even $20 on a front plate bracket. I think I'm going to just pick up something like a 10 or 5lbs pull magnet and use that. A lot of local people have done that and you can't tell. That and for reassurance I can still zip-tie it. It's really hard to tell theres a zip-tie on it, even in that picture we had it for a week or so and then I just took it off, it's hard to tell unless you actually bend down and look at it. Thanks for the info though guys.

Just put it on the front dash. If you get pulled over, say "here it is."

lol thats a $365 fine instead of $109 because of the fact that it's an immediate danger to driver/passengers.

are these "fix it" tickets, like broken headlights? or if you are ticketed, you're just screwed.

Yeah....
Nothing like having a lethal weapon flailing around the car in the event of an accident.

Don't you think it's time to get a bracket then? The fine is $109 here in Canada. My mom said shes going to get holes drilled. I'll let her do whatever, it's her car..
