GT Spec Lower Rear Chassis Brace

Hey guys. Just installed a GT Spec lower rear chassis tie-brace that I got from Riverside on my car last night. It's a really easy istall... only took about 20 minutes (15 minutes of that was just getting the car up on jack stands).

I haven't really driven the car much since the install, so I don't have any driving impressions for you yet.. But, as soon as I can get out on some good roads and run it through some twisties, I willedit this post with some driving impressions.

Here are some before & after picks.

Also, here's a link to the post in the Pics Section that has even more pics.

being that the bar goes in the rear, it should be fine. I think we might have a problem though w/front sway bars, or whatever they're called b/c our front ends are different.

Yes, it is my understanding that it will work on an X as well, both G35's and G37's. The only cars it doesn't work on are the cars that are equiped with 4-Wheel Active Steer. They also make a similar brace for the front, but, as d_cecc mentioned, this one will not work on the X, although the X comes with a similar chassis brace already on the front, so there is no need for another one. The rear should help you, though, and it is only around $90 from Rick@RiversideInfiniti.

Yeah... $90 is pretty decent for any type of mod. It is actually a really nicely made piece. It is made of oval tubular aluminum, so it is VERY strong, and it only weighs a tab over 8 oz, so it is Very light as well. I'll make sure to post as soon as I have some driving impressions for you guys.

Hey Travis. Sorry for the short message reply last night, but I was on my new BalckBerry Storm, so I still suck at typing on it. LOL

Here's a link to it on GT Spec's web-site: http://www.gtspec.com/index.php?nav=...id=153&cat=153

The rear brace is part # GTS-SUS-1087.

Anyway, I did get the GT Spec braces from Riverside... talk to Rick and he'll take care of you. He also has one of the new GT Spec front lower braces on order for me. The rear brace is actually a very nicely made piece for the price. I couldn't really tell much of a difference, but then again, I haven't really been able to push the car very hard since I installed it. Plus, I now have the wheel spacers installed and those make a HUGE handling difference on the car, so now I don't know if the rear brace helped at all or not. Oh well, it's on now, so there's not much else to do.
