Sirius in '08?

Hey guys, so I just purchased my G last night, and pick it up on Saturday. Now my question is, the car comes setup for XM. Has anyone tossed on the XM to Sirius conversion box that is being sold? I know that they have merged, the systems between the two companies are not converted over yet, and Sirius is unsure of when this will be happening. I'd rather not cancel Sirius and setup an account on XM, and then have to pay extra for the Best of Sirius pkg.

Im also trying to avoid buying a portable unit since I dont want it hardwired. So, has anyone done this? Or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Well just about all of the music channels are now the same on the two systems. Plus, you can get XM for 77 dollars per year so I don't know if it's worth the extra 200 dollars to switch out for the Sirius Unit anymore. I was about to do this last month, but they merged the music channels mid-November making it pointless for me. It can be done however if you really want the Sirius non-music channels that aren't offered in the best of package.

Like mentioned above, it's hard to justify doing the switch now, but if you are interested, here is a link to a mini DIY I posted a few months back.
