Slipped on black ice, busted bum.

Thanks guys, yeah I was really unlucky that i hit a patch of ice and spun off but really lucky that no one hit my while i was spinning or that i didn't hit anybody as well. Here's the thing though, I have 1000 Deductible for my insurance, should i claim it and get only pay the 1k but then my premium might sky rocket, or just pay off the whole thing, sorry this is my first accident and I have no clue what to do.
In the end if you do put in a claim you can count on your insurance premium going up for the next 36 - 39 months. The percentage your insurance would go up depends on things like your age, driving record, additional insurance you have like homes, other cars etc with the insurance co.
Glad to hear you didn't get hurt.

Sorry to have seen this happen to your baby Csquared. These past 2 Midwest winters have been terrible on our cars...time to move to warmer climes?
To add to the misery, I just ran over a huge chunk of ice on the road that ripped a hole in my engine liner underneath and I pray it didn't damage my Stillens.
Anyway, hope you get your car fixed soon.
