Hey guys, Im a new member and recent purchaser of an '08 G35 sedan. I want to change the exhaust tone in order to emulate the coupe or fx(slightly more aggressive). However, I want to stay tasteful/not too far from factory sound. After talking a little with another member he suggested either HFCs or merely changing out the mufflers and not a full exhaust system. Anyone have a similar setup or imput on getting a sound that isnt too racey compared to the stock exhaust? Thanks ahead of time.

 

FI catback alone or just HFC with stock exhaust

 

I also wanted to change the tone of mine so it would sound like the coupe or the fx and I went with the Fast Intentions catback exhaust. I couldn't be happier, it's quiet when cruising and sounds awesome when you lay into it and no drone at all.

 

BTW, do you go to UCF?

 

i don't think it's possible to get the sound of the G35 coupe. the DE sounds quite a bit different than the HR to begin with. then you have the exhaust design, which looks nothing like the G35 coupe. My G with a Stillen catback sounds more like a Z than anything.

I'll add this...

The FI system and damn pretty. I've gotten a few compliments from complete strangers on the road. The Sebring mufflers and tips are as beautiful to see as they are to hear.
