Don't know. The leather seats in my Saab after 4 years looked like crap.It had bunch of little cracks on the surface of the leather. Since it was the light colored seat it showed up pretty good. That was the last Real Saab before the GM took it over.
Maybe you guys should get the warranty for that.

Also some leather care from a professional probably would help.

32k in my '07 journey and i hear a slight rattle from my driverside dash. Cold weather recently had the driverside window go down slowly.

31k on my 07 g35x. Same complaints about the drivers seat. Otherwise ZERO complaints. I love this car as much as the day I bought it.

Paint has been lathered in Zaino products since day one and its paid off in spades - paint looks fantastic.

This is one of the benefits from getting the "leatherette" that BMW offers in their cars as opposed to real leather.

16k miles on mine, absolutely love this car, cant think of anything that offers as much for the money. The car has been flawless since day 1.

I've had the car since early July of 07. It has been at the dealership 4 times for repairs (headlight defect, "bad" gas, blown strut, and headlights having condensation). It has 25k miles on it, and honestly I'm seriously considering getting rid of it. I'm driving the loaner right now, which feels tighter and maybe even slightly quicker than my G (it only has 7k miles on the loaner). And i'm guessing i just got a bad one... I want a lot of different cars, but I don't know which car I should get. Financially it would be smarter for me to keep the car (with the economy the way it is) but I don't have that same feeling i used to have, where I'd just drive my car and be like WOW this car really drives nice (quick, effortlessly pass cars, handles well). So I'll give it one more chance. If ANYTHING else makes me have to go to the dealer to get fixed, I'm getting rid of it.

When you say wear, do you mean creases, or actual wearing of the leather? After 2+ years (Nov. '06), my left bolster is creased but otherwise looks just fine.

Still love the car, can only point to a couple of nits that I would change.

The leather on my drivers seat, specifically the left thigh area was really bad 15 months into owning my car. I decided to give the dealer a call and they referred me to an auto-upholstery specialist that does work for them. I went and they were ble to replace (under warranty) the leather in that one portion and add some extra padding. It looks good, excpet for the fact that it looks slightly more inflated and thicker than the right thigh support. Its really just ineveitable when trying to avoid the wrinkles, etc. I hope I did the right thing in having it replaced.

Does anyone know if the leather is full grain or split grain? The literature doesn't seem to say which makes me suspect it's the latter.

Split grain wears much faster than full grain. It creases more and has a tendency to crack.

Its poor quality leather if you ask me. my friends 07' BMW 335i hardly has any wrinkles, its a lot more firm and holding up a lot better!

Ditto G35NOW. 16k on the clock, in and out of the car alot over the 21 months of ownership. After having the Tranny Valve Body changed which corrected the very hard shift into 3rd gear on the Auto tranny a couple of weeks ago, I still look forward to driving this car. Leather seats and some rattles [had the driver's dash POD rattle fixed too- now its good. I've got a terrific Dealer: Pepe Infiniti in White Plains, NY] notwithstanding, you are hard presssed to find a better sports performance sedan for $34k IMHO...

Interesting. For the most part, there are more complaints about leather wear than major issues. Truly a good sign!

And yes, mine is starting to show some wear even after 1000 miles. But hey, I can't see it when I am driving and otherwise am digging the car.

Well, the leather interiors have always held up well in Audis.

Now lets talk electronic issues...........
