brake lights wont go off
I just slammed on my brakes in the snow and almost hit somebody. I had the brake pedal pushed all the way to the floor. Now that I have parked and turned the car on/off 4 times, the brake lights still will not turn off. The brake lights in the tails and the 3rd brake light remain off, even after 30min of my car being parked and turned off.
Thoughts?

I apologize for not being clear. the rear brake lights, the taillights.....not the dash light.
It could be a fuse or there is a sensor i guess you would call it. When you press your brake down it hits a sensor. Go out and look at it. it might be compressed or your floor mat might be pressing it down.
Are your lights still on? If so disconnect the bat for a min or so to see if it resets the car. If not you will need a test light to test BOTH sides of the fuses to see if one is blown

Well, not it appears there is a bigger problem. For some reason, i cant accelerate either now. I just tried to drive it and when the car is in reverse or park, the car revs just fine. when its in D or sport mode, i slam on the gas and NOTHING happens. It rpms barely go up.
WTF? brake lights are still on.....headlights, parking lights, etc, off as they should be.

WTF?!?! this all happens after a hard brake in the snow??!?!?!
If a fuse is blown it can try to draw power from somewhere else. A cheap 10 buck test light is worth 10 mins to look over the fuese the dealer will charge you 100 just to tell you it is a fues

i gotta find where the fuse boxes are, then i will check them.
One under the hood one inside the car on the coupe there is one behind the bat. turn the key to on not started. take the test light and poke both silver spots on the top of the fuse if one side lights up and the other one does not its a bad fuse.
Maybe you can borrow a neighbor's code reader or scanner? If you are lucky enough to see a code then that could help a lot. Even if you see a code though, may not be something that you can or should fix at home.
Sucks though, the brakes should not be a one time use item
. We should be able to brake hard and activate the ABS all day without problems. I would raise issue if they charge you to fix a fuse that blew when it shouldn't have. Actually even more, they need to figure out why the fuse blew in the first place and prevent it from happening again.
