Mpg?

Hey, what kind of MPG are you guys averaging?
When I checked my dash computer it said 8.9 MPG (is this thing accurate). I live in New York City, with alot of red lights and stop and go driving, but damn 9 MPG!
I might as well be driving a frickan tank!

Loads of people have talked about this, I'm guessing your car is new from your number of posts? Mpg doenst' increase till your engine breaks in fully, from what I know I started off around the same as you now at 4k it's around 16mpg, but I was talking to my dealer and he said that these engines don't really break in till like 8000 miles which is around when you'll get the best mpg etc.

I'm at 11,500 miles and I'm averaging 18 or 19 and that's with 80% city and 20% highway driving.

my car just hit 1800 miles this morning. the mpg on the display reads 16.2, but usually stays around 15.9. i also watch the fuel economy meter from time to time to try and get the most out of it.

I'm averaging 22.3 mpg @ 19,500 miles; 80% highway, 20% city. Has declined a little since I installed the cat back and Black Betty's.

i got 40k, i fill up only V-Power.

I get about 320 miles to a tank
and the center screen tells me im getting 19.2mpg at 43mph.

i also reset both the mpg and the time along with the trip A, to monitor this.

i hate getting bad mpg, but i love the acceleration.

18.6 combined at ~26.5K (on the dash readout, didn't really calculate it out myself). Roughly 50% city (Nassau, Suffolk and NYC) and 50% highway, with a fair amount of stop-n-go. Improved from 17.6 10K ago.

depends on the driving style..
when my girl drives good gas mileage
when i drive. no bueno.lol

but ive noticed, when i have fresh oil, it goes pretty good, at 18gallons, on freeway, n some city (trips n stuff out of town) i can get 320+ off a tank..just when the light comes on

if im in town, its around 15+mpg, because of stop n go.

and the brand of GAS!!! dunno if this is true or just me. the G seems to like 76 or chevron, shell burns fast, and so does costco gas, or ampm crap (sad huh, when i had no choice and it was the only gas in sight)
