wheel offsets?? will it work sedan 07

i got my eyes on some used wheels staggered

front 19 x 9 +19
rear 19 x 10 +19

will it fit ?? and will it be flushed .?? i dont want it to stick out to much.. im goin for the vip style look..

tires?? i want stretched tires.. what do u think?? is this a cool stretch

225/40 19
245/40 19

or should i go with a lower profile tire 35 series or 30 or less as wide ??

lip does not = offset.
you need the actual offset before you can figure anything

see info here

Thumbs up

well i know that 19mm = .75 in .. so a 10 " rim divde by half is 5" rim which is 0 offset .. so a +19mm offset should be .75 - 5in = 4.25" lip ..am i correct or am i a lil confused..

and a 9" rim divide by half is 4.5" ..which is 0 offset.. so 4.5" - .75 " = 3.75" lip

right????

well forget about the lip size that i said.. it is a 19 x 9f and 19x10 r +19mm offsets all around..

well it fit flush????

here"s a link to the a picture of the rim

it will be super aggressive in the rears. I was planning on +22 on a 10" rim running same tire sizes. It might work. DO IT!

You're forgetting about the design of the spokes. You could have 20in wide wheels with negative offset, and if the spokes are designed to be flush with the face of the rim, you'd have zero lip.

Thumbs down

Wow! +19mm offset will stick out pretty far if you ask me. The stock are (F)18x8.5 +45mm and (R)18x8.5 +50mm. I would say that you have about 1 and 3/4" to play with until you are beyond the fender. With +19mm offset you are looking at 26mm and 31mm wider than stock just from the offset plus the 1.5" width increase in front and back. Bottom line is +1 3/4" wider in front and 2" wider in the rear. Just look at your OEM wheel and imagine them that much further out...you will look like one of those old school low riders that you see in the gangsta movies. I wouldn't unless that's what you want.

And I agree with the others that you can't really judge lip size using the offset and the wheel width. It depends pretty exclusively on the spoke design.

hmmm those offsets combined with your wheel widths are WAY too aggressive for our sedans...by aggressive i mean they will be sticking out from the wheel well of your car

Try using this wheel/tire calculator:

http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp

Just punch in your OEM wheel/tire sizes and see how they compare to the "new" wheels. It will tell you everything from the effect it will have on your speedometer reading to the clearance for the fenders/suspension/wheelwell.

I have the 1st gen Coupe Forged 19" Wheels and they are 8" front with +30, and the rears are 8.5" with +33, and they are perfectly flush with the body. A little bit more offset and they would stick out. I'd say that those wheels will stick out like 4X4's. The offsets are too agressive for a wide wheel like that one. Anyway, I think some people change their cambers or tweek their suspension in order to make the camber angle fit inside the wheel well. But again, I think they are too wide, try it and verify for the rest. With respect to the tires, I think you should go with wider tires, 225 for 9" and 245 for 10" seem pretty narrow. Verify with some calculators and official tire specs to see wich one fits you best.

Good luck.

OP, is your car lowered?

Don't listen to these offset newbs.

I currently have

19x9 +25 245/35/19
19x10 +35 275/35/19

Your setup would push the fronts out 6mm more, but your tire is 20mm thinner which means that you have an additional 10mm of clearance on either side. therefor, you have an additional 4mm that you can go further before even matching my current setup. Your wheels will stick out, but you will NOT rub your tires.

Your setup would push the rears 16mm more, but your tire is 20mm thinner which means that you have an additional 10mm of clearance on either side, therefor, you will be pushing it 6mm too far. Fronts are fine, rears will work with some fender pulling and some negative camber.

Fronts will be FLUSH. Rears are too aggressive if you ask me. I don't think it will be the look you are going for. Use my current setup as a reference point.

Thnx for the info guys. I pretty sure it would work with some super stretched tires. Lookin to stretch it out 215 /35 f and 225/35 n back. And yes it's lowered on h&r's right now. Lookin to puts airbags soon also. VlP baby

Somebody on this site is running 9"f & 10"r +25 offsets all around here. So +6 more shouldn't hurt.

215/35 and 225/35 are too thin IMO. It wont keep to the OEM tire size therefor your speedo will be off. And the wheel wells wont fill out with that tire size. It would work if you went 20's.

I had 235/35 and 265/35 and it looked like a freaking lowrider on 100 spokes.
